Imagine Hillfields Exhibition Opening

Friday saw the official launch of an exciting new exhibit at The Fargo Village. The Imagine Hillfields Exhibition brings together a collection of photos, past and present, to showcase how Coventry’s first suburb has changed across the years.

Imagine is a university community research project which examines the impact of visions of the future on residents and workers.

This exhibition brings together the Richard Sadler, John Blakemore, Masterji and Jason Scott Tilley photographic collections of Hillfields, together with the archives of Coventry City Council and Hillfields History Group, and a new body of work by re-photographer Nick Stone. Over 1,000 visitors have gazed upon this extraordinary exhibit since opening night.

Even Hillz got in on the act, with our very own Sweet P (Hands Across The Water), Sharda (The Bollywood Show), Isiah (The Williams Brothers, below) and Asher (The Williams Brothers) had their photos taken for the exhibit.
