6 Things to do in lock-down

2020, the year of Coronavirus definitely means one thing… lockdown, and for many that can be a boring and difficult time. When most of the world is on lockdown and the shops aren’t open as normal and things people rely on are closed, this instability and change/lack of normal routine can upset many so here is a compiled list of things to do to distract yourself and pass the time.

  1. Watch a film

My favourite thing to do when I need to chill out is to watch a good movie.I find it’s a brilliant way to spend time with family in your household or something to do when you are  on your own so you don’t feel lonely here are five of my personal favourites

  1. Read a book

Nothing beats a cup of tea,a biscuit and a great book on the sofa chilling out.It is so easy to get hooked on a book,and on the plus side it’s educational and fun combined. Here are some of my personal favourites.

  1. Exercise

Take advantage of your one hour of exercise a day allowed. Parks are lovely as there is lots of space to try different things. Remember to follow social distancing guidelines. If you do not fancy the park you could exercise in your living room or garden. Here is what you could try.

 

  • Walking
  • Running
  • Cycling
  • A workout online
  • Power walking

 

 

4 .       Baking or cooking

 

This can be very therapeutic and fun to do there are many things you can bake and to get ideas, make sure to check out recipes on BBC Good Food where you can find different ideas of what to bake and there are also recipes available.   • Brownies
  • Apple crumble
  • Bread and butter pudding
  • Cupcakes
  • Victoria sponge cake
  • Chocolate cake

 

 

  1. Writing poetry or a short story

 

This is something out of the ordinary to do if you are bored and want to try something creative and different you can gain inspiration for your stories and poems by watching films, tv series or reading books.

 

 

  1. Watch a TV series

 

This one is one of my personal favourites. I love nothing more than to sit down on the sofa with some sweets and chocolate and a cup of tea to binge watch some iconic tv series.. Here are some of my personal favourites.
