RIP David Bowie

Another icon of music has passed away today, with the loss of David Bowie at the age of 69.

Born David Robert Jones on 8th January 1947, Bowie’s innovative style made him a star of the 70’s and 80’s with hits such as Space Oddity, Life On Mars, Ashes To Ashes and Let’s Dance, earning him 5 UK Number One singles and 8 Number One albums. He was set to perform live for the final time at Glastonbury this year, but sadly, Bowie didn’t make it to the show. He died on Monday 11th Janaury 2016 after a battle with cancer. david-bowie-aladdin-sane-ziggy-stardustDavid touched the lives of many people, including the Presenters and DJs of Hillz FM, who will pay tribute to their hero this week.
