Love Gambit is two people writing, recording and engineering music in their bedrooms. Broadly speaking, Jordan does the acoustic stuff, while James goes more electronic. Genre-wise, Love Gambit has no limits. They range from delicate acoustic folk, through classic rock and synth-pop, making a brief stop at pre-war music hall and mariachi, and forging a path all the way to modern electronica and harder rock sounds. If anything, Love Gambit prides itself on its range and versatility.
Jordan’s song writing is inspired by, but not limited to, The Beach Boys, Simon & Garfunkel, and The Beatles. James takes influence from Depeche Mode, New Order and Kraftwerk. Both parties find common ground in their taste for 80s synth-pop (The Human League, Duran Duran) and pushing creative boundaries.
Love Gambit also consists of a flexible live line-up that adapts to fit the songs being performed. Find out what surprises are in store for you when you make the Love Gambit.
