WATCH (Working Actively To Change Hillfields) in partnership with St Peter’s Centre and Harmony Family Hub have come together to give you Hillfields Community Festival on Saturday 24th August!
On the day of the event, we were thrilled to feature live performances by a fantastic line-up of artists, including Keith Fabrique, Lizzi Max, John Oswin, and Oisin. We were also treated to a special performance by Youth Vision Official, showcasing the Matilda musical. As well as of course, our very own DJs Asha Banton, DJ Liney, Akeel, Eddie Goodtimes, and Irie B, who kept the energy high and the audience entertained throughout the day.
We also had a number of information stalls highlighting the fabulous support services available across Coventry. These included:
The Highlife Centre, St Giles, Coventry Libraries and Information Service, St Giles, Healthwatch Coventry, Youth Vision, MIND, National Energy Action as well as Act on Energy.
We had plenty of freshly made Samosas for the local community as well as support from the fabulous Sky Blue Support crew.
We had several stations of children’s activities including bracelet making and quizzes with MIND!

We loved having all of the organisations involved on air with us, talking more about the support available to the residents of Coventry as well as the chance to network with each other.
Despite the weather, the event organisers said it was a “great success and opportunity to spread the word and network with other support services in Coventry”. All donations raised during the event will go directly back into helping the local community.
