So, recently the government has announced that now if we go on holiday to Spain we have quarantine for 14 days (self-isolate) This because of some peoples work means holidays abroad are no longer possible for people, also it is very risky to go abroad or staycation (holiday in the UK) with the current situation involving Covid-19. This means we have to think of creative, interesting things to do when in the UK over the summer. Don’t worry we have got you covered with some cool things to do.

1. Daytripping
This is less risky as you do not have to worry about where you are going to stay for the night that is safe from Covid-19. It is also a lot cheaper so you can go to more places. There is also lots to do as places have now reopened-Go for
icecream/food, bowling/arcades, the beach (if not too many people-Remember to social distance 2m apart and if not 1m apart), shopping, crazy golf and much more.

Here are some good places to go-
– Skegness – I have been here before COVID-19 on a day trip and I had so much fun
– Western-supermare- I have been here before COVID-19 as well and there was so much to do
– Bournemouth
– Devon
– Bourton-on the water
– Blackpool
– Rhyl
– Bognor Regis

There are many more-make sure to do your research before you go to make sure things you need or want to do are open so you do not waste your day.

2. Try different food
This is fun to do and you can do it by simply ordering food online or cooking it yourself by trying online recipes from places such as www.bbcgoodfood.com which has a selection of dishes to try and you can do this quite affordably in some cases.

Here are some ideas:
– Sushi
– Japanese cuisine
– Mexican food
– Other cultures food
There is so much more to try!

3. Try a new hobby
This can be really cool as you can try lots of different things that you did not originally think you could do and you can try these while catching up with friends and family (social distanced)

Here are some ideas:
– Crocheting
– Knitting
– Sewing
– Creating your own podcast at home
– Making a youtube channel
– Yoga
– Meditation
– Tennis
– Badminton
