Life – Series review

Quarantine boredom has set in and maybe you have already gone through my list of programmes you can watch when your bored, and activities to do in lockdown (both articles you can find here on the website). – 6 Things to do in Lockdown

If you have fear not! I have another amazing series to binge watch and get your teeth stuck into!

The series in question is the BBC’s ‘life’, which you can catch all 6 episodes (1hour long each) on BBC iPlayer.

The series is based on the lives of the people and their family and friends who live in a house divided into 4 flats (two flats upstairs and 2 flats downstairs) and their lives and journeys they go through. However, the bit that gets you hooked is somewhere along the line they are all linked together and they are all together to get through things, especially when things get tough.

I feel that the characters in this show are very layered and complicated with their issues shown in a very clear, but broad way that covers everything they have been through in their life. The show projects the characters in a way that means we know everything about them and see who they are and what they have been through and their experiences.

This show is gripping and full of twists and turns along the way and a lot of things that will shock you and it is Definitely an emotive show that will have you crying one minute and smiling the next because of how profound it can be at times when covering issues that are prominent in society such as toxic relationships, borderline personality disorder and mental health’s effect on families, bereavement, disability and the welfare system not being completely fair towards those with disabilities, alcoholism and so much more. It really does open your eyes to what people go through in day to day life and the power of things in the world.

I 100% recommend this show! Make sure to go watch it!

Hope you enjoy the series!
